Visual Design Skills | Interior Design Program at MADE
VISUAL DESIGN LANGUAGE
To produce innovative ideas as an interior designer, one must first learn the language of design. Students will be introduced to the elements of art (line, shape form, space, value, color, texture) and principles of design (emphasis, contrast, movement, proportion, unity, balance, rhythm) that are relevant to interior design. As the program progresses; students are taught how to manipulate these elements and principles to create visually stunning interiors. The program reinforces this visual language throughout all interior design courses.
Most importantly, the MADE Interior Design program teaches students how to observe, evaluate and form opinions about different design styles by analyzing interior spaces. Through exposure to a multitude of design styles, MADE will help you develop your “designer’s eye” and learn how to defend your design choices using language that is relevant and appropriate to the market.
