Programming Languages | Web Design & Development at MADE
At the core of MADE’s Web Design program is the contention that designers must learn to think in code. The curriculum emphasizes the importance of learning how to read, write and edit code, as well as understand how various browsers interpret code. This approach teaches the foundation of coding in a broad sense so that students can effectively navigate various programming, scripting, stylesheet and markup languages.
A designer should be able to understand the way visual designs connect to the back-end of a website and be capable of basic editing of server-side scripts. This knowledge enables the designer to handle most of the tasks on small projects or WordPress sites as well as communicate effectively with development teams that work on large-scale projects.
